OLLI-UO in Central Oregon is a cooperative learning community that depends on the active participation of its members. A Governing Council, elected by the membership, acts as the main leadership body, while additional volunteer committees help develop curriculum and manage membership growth and retention. Membership is open to all who have an interest in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge; there are no requirements involving prior college experience or UO affiliation.
Classes and events are held at two locations in Bend.
Programming takes the form of live lectures, courses taught by experts or educational DVDs, study and discussion groups, tours and field trips, social and special events.
