Because it is a residential campus with 24/7 operations, the UO main campus seldom closes due to weather. We encourage you to sign up for UO emergency alerts, which include weather closure information or call the university inclement weather phone line at 541-346-9000.
General procedures are listed below for primary Continuing and Professional Education locations. In the event of a cancellation, the Continuing and Professional Education Registration staff will attempt to notify all registrants via e-mail (or by phone for those without email contact information). If you are unable to attend a workshop or class due to weather, please inform the registration office at 800-824-2714, 541-346-4231, or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Continuing and Professional Education programs, including OLLI, may be cancelled even if the main campus is not officially closed. Cancellations will be noted on this web page.
Most programs in Central Oregon are held at the Elks Lodge, unless otherwise noted. Regardless of location, events will be cancelled when the Bend/La Pine School District announces weather-related closures. Cancellations will be noted on this web page.
OLLI-UO in Central Oregon cancels classes and events when the Bend-La Pine School District announces weather-related closures. In the event of school delays, OLLI-UO in Central Oregon remains unaffected, as most of our classes do not start until 10:00 a.m.
