OLLI-UO in Central Oregon is a cooperative learning community that depends on the active participation of its members. A Governing Council, elected by the membership, acts as the main leadership body, while additional volunteer committees help develop curriculum activities and manage membership growth and retention. Membership is open to all who have an interest in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge; there are no requirements involving prior college experience or UO affiliation.
Classes and events are held at two locations in Bend.
Programming takes the form of live lectures, courses supplemented by experts or educational DVDs, study and discussion groups, tours and field trips, social and special events.
News and Updates—this is where the Governing Council notes are featured, along with other important news. There may be one or more announcements per month.
Calendar—this is where readers will find program-site activities listed in a calendar format. The calendar can be viewed in a weekly, monthly, or agenda layout. This can also be accessed by clicking on the “Central Oregon Calendar” title.
Descriptions—this section is the "meat and potatoes" of the website. You’ll find full descriptions of our programming. Registration buttons are embedded into the descriptions for classes and activities that require registration.
New "News and Updates" and "Descriptions" will be posted prior to the beginning of each month to allow members time to plan their schedules. Please check the OLLI-UO Information Hub often!
