OLLI-UO in Eugene/Springfield is a cooperative learning community that depends on the active participation of its members. A Governing Council, elected by the membership, acts as the main leadership body, while additional volunteer committees help develop curriculum and manage membership growth and retention. Membership is open to all who have an interest in the lifelong pursuit of knowledge; there are no requirements involving prior college experience or UO affiliation.
Classes and events are held at the UO Baker Downtown Center in Eugene.
Programming takes the form of live lectures, courses taught by experts or educational DVDs, study and discussion groups, tours and field trips, social events, and shared interest groups.
News and Updates—this is where the Governing Council notes are featured, along with other important news. There may be one or more announcements per month.
Program Schedule—this section is the "meat and potatoes" of the website. Here, you'll find an up-to-date schedule with three months' worth of content, including full descriptions of our program's offerings. In addition, registration buttons are embedded into the descriptions for those offerings that require preregistration.
Calendar—this is where readers will find program-site activities listed in a calendar format. The calendar can be viewed in a weekly, monthly, or agenda layout. All calendar listings include links to the Program Schedule page. Listings can also be easily added directly to your personal calendar, to customize your participation in OLLI-UO.
Regular updates to the Information Hub occur prior to the beginning of each month to allow members time to plan their schedules. Please check the OLLI-UO Information Hub often!
