Change Your Zoom Profile

During our Zoom meetings we like to call people by their preferred name. With more cross-location participation among our members from Eugene/Springfield (ES), Central Oregon (CO), and Northwest Oregon (NW) it is becoming a bit more difficult to recognize everyone’s faces. What would help our facilitators as they call on Raised Hands is to have your correct name displayed in your Zoom profile. Zoom profile names like "My iPad" or "5414959378" aren't helpful.

In addition to adding your name, if you would like people to know which location you associate with, you can append one of the location designations (ES, CO, NW) to your Zoom Display Name.

If you could simply log into Zoom and edit your Profile setting to change your Display Name, that would be most helpful.

Below are instructions for making this change permanent:

1. In your web browser, visit the Zoom website.
2. Log in with your email and password
3. Choose the Edit link to the right of your Profile information

   

4. In the Display Name field type your name as you would like it to appear to others. You may append '- CO', '- ES', or '- NW' to the end of your name if you like.

   

5. Save your changes and close the Zoom browser window.
